This is such a great and informative read! I was diagnosed Hypothyroidism 21 years ago. I was diagnosed Hashimotos last year in 2025... 20 years after! I had no idea until now that knowing you have Hashimtos is very important! Ive been feeling drawn to weights but honestly, and I know I used but, Ive had a lot going on and it just feels like more work... tips to get myself up and moving in the morning to learn to love it!
Thank you, Pamela ❤️ I completely understand. When we're already tired and have a lot on our plate, exercise can feel like another thing on the to do list. What helped me was starting small and focusing on how I felt afterwards rather than the workout itself. Even now, there are days I don't feel like going, but I've never regretted it once I've finished. Start with two short sessions a week, celebrate the fact you've shown up and let the results build from there. You might surprise yourself with how quickly your confidence grows. 💪😊
Thank you! I think Im going to start with getting up and doing yoga, I do really want to do weights, but its too easy to not do that. So I felt starting with yoga, get up go to my mat, would help me get in the rhythm to keep getting up early in the morning.
That is a great idea! Getting the body moving, even with deep stretching and body weight it the perfect start to the day - or whenever you can fit it in with your life. When we put pressure on ourselves to fit everything in, it becomes a chore but the more you feel the benefits from movement, the more you'll feel called to improve and add when you can. All the very best and please do keep me updated with your journey x
Thank you for that! Ive found when I am emotionally attached to the situation, current with daughter and thyroid cancer my nervous system feels so disregulated!
